It's not often a business remains open for 75 years so when White Post Restorations marked that milestone off on the calendar it was time to celebrate. The entire town of White Post, VA turned out to help with the open house and car show. There were tons of things to see and do at this wonderful event.
The cars started arriving early for the car show. The majority of vehicles were vintage but I did see one Dodge Hellcat parked way out back. It was a perfect sunny day to walk around and talk cars.
Up in the air there were vintage aircraft buzzing the field and Jan Miller was flying the "Owl and the Pussycat" hot air balloon. Tucked away out back there was a civil war encampment including a functioning cannon.
If you like vintage fire engines, like I do, there were a few on hand to enjoy from nearby towns.
Of course the day was all about White Post Restorations. If you arrived early enough you would have been able to snag a ticket for a tour of their shop. The crew from Bubba's Garage was very impressed at how clean and organized everything was. I hope they were taking notes.
White House Restorations sure knows how to throw a party. Let's hope we don't have to wait another 75 years for the next one.
