We were on the road and decided to check out the Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland, Ohio. This is a great place for children and the young at heart. You are sure to find something to entertaining here. The exhibits change frequently so check their website to see what's happening before you go.
Even before you step inside the center there is something to explore. The 168 foot long William G. Mather steamship is docked just outside. Built n 1925, the ship is now open for tours.
Inside there are plenty of hands on exhibits to teach and entertain you. The NASA Glen Visitor Center lets you experience living and working in space. You can learn all about the body at the BioMed Tech gallery. Our favorite area was the Science Phenomena galleries which had the most hands on exhibits in which to play. Don't forget to catch a movie at the OmniMax Theater if you visit.
The highlight for our trip to the Great Lakes Science Center was the "Big Science Show" that was setup just outside. Fun with Mentos and liquid nitrogen! The performers made it all very enjoyable and a not to be missed experience.
