Touring the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum in Auburn, Indiana

Every so often you come across a museum that really gets your emotions flowing; a car guy's paradise. This was how I felt after visiting the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum in Auburn, Indiana. The word "wow" was about all I could say when I stepped into the Art Deco Original Company Showroom on the first floor of the administration building.

The building that the museum is housed in is the former International Headquarters of the Auburn Automobile Company. In 1930 the building contained executive and general offices, design studios, a sales department, an engineering department, and the showroom. It has been designated a National Historic Landmark.

The museum displays some 120 or so vintage cars with the museum's title cars taking top billing.
First up for Auburn is this 1926 Auburn 8-88 Roadster. I just love the orange and cream color scheme.

Of course you need a few Cords. How about this gorgeous 1936 Cord Convertible Coupe?
