Visiting The Kentucky Castle

We like to stay in wacky places when on the road. For our 34th wedding anniversary, we picked The Kentucky Castle in Versailles, Kentucky for an overnight adventure. But not just any room would do. We chose to sleep in one of the tower suites!

The room was clean but in need of a little TLC. The suite was on two levels and included a small kitchenette. While we were there, the AC was struggling to keep up with the mid-August heat and humidity of Kentucky. Sadly, our view from the balcony was less than stellar. For the price, I expected more.

We enjoyed exploring the grounds, taking selfies, and shopping. Peg just had to purchase a crown as a souvenir. It definitely added to the experience of the day, even if it was just a little silly. Commence to the practicing of the royal wave.

The staff were nice and the food was good at The Kentucky Castle. We were glad we stayed here but probably would pick a room in the main castle if we were to do it again.
