The Kustom Kemps of America (KKoA) held their second Icons of Hotrodding Festival at the Maggie Valley Festival grounds in Maggie Valley, North Carolina. My buddy and I spent a couple hours on Friday afternoon looking over the hotrods and kustoms that were on the festival grounds. There were many beautiful rides to see. The show would bring over 200 vehicles from 8 states to gather for a fantastic two days. KKoA's festival in Maggie Valley is getting better each year.

Photos from the Mountaineer Antique Auto Show
We took a drive to the WNC Ag Center for the 2018 Mountaineer Antique Auto Show. It's a nice little show with a car corral and swap meet. The grounds were a bit tore up this year as the Ag Center was in the middle of repaving. Still, we enjoyed walking around the cars and vendor tables.
Photos from the Maggie Valley Icons of Hotrodding Festival
Thank goodness for hardcore hotrodders. The Kustom Kemps of America Maggie Valley Icons of Hotrodding Festival show had some bad Saturday morning weather. But, some really nice rides were on the show field despite the rain. While we didn't stay long, I enjoyed talking to everyone and looking at the amazing vehicles.
Checking Out Tuner Evolution in Charlotte, North Carolina
We took a little road trip to Charlotte, North Carolina to snap a few photos of the cars at Tuner Evolution. The Park Expo Center was crazy hot and we were sweating our butts off. The show was much smaller than we expected but the quality of the cars was excellent which made up for all the other issues. We would rate the Tuner Evolution Charlotte show as good but not great.
White Post Restorations 75th Anniversary Car Show
It's not often a business remains open for 75 years so when White Post Restorations marked that milestone off on the calendar it was time to celebrate. The entire town of White Post, VA turned out to help with the open house and car show. There were tons of things to see and do at this wonderful event.
Spending a Saturday Morning at Sled Fest
We once again made the road trip to Duncannon, PA for Sled Fest. This show has grown to capacity in just a few short years. It is held near the Old Sled Works which was the home to the Lightning Guider manufacturing facility. The show is opened to all pre '72 vehicles but if you want a parking spot plan on being there early. The Hooligans Car Club does a good job of parking cars to maximize the use of the small lot.
Classics at Atlantic City - An Auction, Car Show, and Swap Meet
The Bubba's Garage crew piled into the car to make a road trip out to Atlantic City, NJ for GPK Auction's Atlantic City Classics Car Show and Auction. While we didn't register as a bidder we figured we would at least see what was going on and maybe pick up a project from the car corral.
Old and New Meet at the Philadelphia Auto Show
More than 700 vehicles were spread out in the 700,000 square feet of the Pennsylvania Convention Center. While most people were there to see what the latest offerings from the major auto manufacturers were, vintage cars were also on hand from different museums as well as customs from the DUB Show and Carlisle Events.
Hot Rods on the Infield - The Rodder's Journal Revival
The Rodder's Journal Vintage Speed and Custom Car Show Revival is a must do annual event held at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland. It is open to pre-1966 hot rods, customs, and competition cars. The guys and gals from Bubba's Garage took a road trip to cover their 3rd Annual event.
Charles Town Car Show Photos
Labor Day weekend started off in grand fashion as Charles Town, WV closed the streets in order to have their 6th Annual Car Show. Every year this show gets bigger and better. The organizers do a fantastic job of getting everyone parked on the downtown streets and it is spread out enough that you don't feel too crowded.
Photos from the Checkered Flag Jalopy Showdown
You can call it vintage racing or nostalgia racing but we just call it fun. The Jalopy Showdown at the Latimore Valley Fairgrounds in York Springs, PA brings together racers and hot rods for one great Saturday. The show is to raise money for the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing and it truly is hard not to have a good time.
Showing some Tuner Love at Carlisle Performance and Style
Tuners need love and we try to spread it around where we can. The Carlisle Performance & Style show is a great place for a tuner love-fest and this year's turnout did not disappoint. There were plenty of tuners and sport compacts scattered about the show field to gawk at and take notes.
Monkeying around at the NorthEast Rod and Custom Car Show
What do you get when you add awesome cars, trucks, and motorcycles with good people, family fun, and a smidgen of shopping as well all under one roof? You get another good car show known as the NorthEast Rod and Custom Car Show. The show, now in its fourth year, was held at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center just outside Philadelphia, PA in Oaks, PA.
Photos from Motorama: Rod, Custom, & Tuner Show
It may have been snowing hard outside on Saturday morning at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center but it was nice and dry inside as Motorama began another fantastic show. It looked like there were a few competitor no-shows for the Rod, Custom, & Tuner Show part of the event due to the heavy snow earlier in the week on the East Coast. The snow also kept many of the spectators away which actually made the morning at the show very enjoyable. There were still plenty of nice rides to look at in Exposition Hall like Joe and Vicki Sheehan's 454 LS6 powered 1969 Chevy Malibu Convertible.
Photos from the 10th Annual Jalopyrama Hot Rod Show in Annapolis, Maryland
When a show advertises only 1962 and older American Hot Rods, Customs, and Vintage Race cars will be allowed on the show field you just know this show is going to be special. Jalopyrama was crammed into the Annapolis Maryland National Guard Armory and what this show may of lacked in size it more than made up for in style.
Photos from Tuner Evolution Car Show
We had a surprisingly good time shooting photos at the Tuner Evolution car show which was held at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA. This indoor show brought together the areas finest tuners both domestic and import to compete and enjoy each others company.
Photos from the Carlisle All-Chrysler Nationals
What group of car people do you think are the most passionate about their brand? Well if you had to judge by the number of car owners that turned out in the rain just to attend the Carlisle All-Chrysler Nationals it would have to be Mopar owners! This year I was attending solo as the rest of the crew from Bubba's Garage had other commitments. I almost turned around when I had been driving for more than an hour in a light drizzle on my way to Carlisle, PA. This was my first time attending the Mopar Show and all I can say is, "Wow!" I am glad I didn't.
Photos from the 3rd Annual Ranson Car Show
Where is the best place to have a car show? Well the fine folks of the City of Ranson, WV think that smack-dab in the middle of town is a good spot and I would have to agree with them. They closed of the main road through town for "The 3rd Annual Ranson Car, Truck, and Motorcycle Show" and lined it with more than 100 of the areas finest vehicles. Bubba's Garage was there and I actually brought out my 2001 GMC Sonoma mini-truck and stayed for the entire show.
Enjoying Vintage Cars during The Elegance at Hershey
Have you ever attended a high end car show? The Elegance at Hershey is modeled after European Concours d'Elegance but with more of a casual American feel. The show describes itself as "an automotive garden party featuring the world’s finest collector vintage and antique cars." The Elegance is held on the grounds of the Hotel Hershey where the smell of dark chocolate cocoa mulch adds to the experience. The event's goal is to raise funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the AACA Museum.

The 3rd Annual Exotic and Sports Car Show to benefit Castaway Critters was held on the grounds of the AACA Museum in Hershey, PA. For just a $5 donation you could stroll the lawn beside the museum to gawk at all the exotic cars and sports cars that were there. More than 100 vehicles showed up under the cloudless Pennsylvania skies and we took many of their photos to share with you.
