If the weather is nice on a Friday evening you can bet that the lot will be full for the Friday Night Cruise-In in Ranson, WV. The Ranson Home Depot, where the cruise-in is located, is just up the road a bit from Charles Town, WV on Rt. 9. The hosting club, Country Roads Car Club, does an okay job of playing oldies tunes and keeping the peace. The lot is good sized and there are several restaurants near-by to quiet your growling belly.
Ron Nowell of Country Roads Car Club has a wicked little modified Mini Cooper. It is stupid fast and believe it or not I fit in it and I am 6' 4" and push 320lbs.! This puppy is nothing but fun.
If it's clean, I will often take my 2001 GMC Sonoma mini-truck out to this cruise-in. People are pretty careful about touching the cars here so I feel safe leaving her alone.
A good number of old classics can often be found at the Home Depot Cruise-in.
There always seems to be someone around to help you back into a spot. (Whether you want the help or not) Chuck Tilley from Country Roads Car Club is assisting this Cobra driver here.
If you end up going to the Cruise-In on a Friday night maybe we will see you. I'll be the one with the camera.
