While we were quite happy with our motel accommodations we couldn't say the same for Helen. I guess I expected too much after reading all the Internet hype about the town. Most of the shops were the cheap touristy types and the one restaurant that we ate at was simply okay. It didn't help that it was pouring down rain when we visited. It is a cute little Alpine themed town worth a visit but probably not worth a destination trip.
