The 2017 Asheville Food Truck Showdown provided good entertainment and great food. 17 food trucks participated in this year's event at the WNC Agricultural Center in Fletcher, NC.
We sprung for the VIP sampling tickets so we could try out the various offerings. There were four serving stations which had a single sampling from four or five different trucks. Serving went really well and there wasn't much of a wait. Well, except to enter the facility because the food was a bit late and we were the first seating.
Outside there was a kids area with bounce houses, face painting, hula-hoops, and other activities. Also, bands and a DJ kept the music playing throughout the event.
And of course there were the food trucks. They setup circling the event space which allowed for people to spread out a little. Prices were fair and the food was mostly delicious.
The Asheville Food Truck Showdown was once again a nice little event to help raise money for local charities and to raise awareness of the Asheville food truck scene.
