Spring Flowers at Hershey Gardens

After hearing about all my running around lately, my buddy +Craig Pike of MyRideisMe says to me, "Damn Bubba! Hope you have time to smell the roses sometimes!" Well there might not have been any roses blooming but there sure were a bunch of tulips popping up out of the ground when we slowed down just enough to enjoy all the wonderful springtime colors at Hershey Gardens.

Hershey Gardens is sandwiched between the Hotel Hershey and Hershey Park. It's a bit small at 23 acres so I wouldn't make it a destination trip. It is definitely well groomed and makes for a pleasant couple of hours. For a change, we spent more time strolling around then actually snapping photos. But, be sure to bring your camera when visiting so you can preserve some memories.

Hershey Gardens also has many wonderful trees. While many of these were also in bloom for our trip I was drawn more to the textures. I couldn’t resist poking my head into the new spring canopies to get a glimpse of the twisted trunks beneath.

So, listen to your friends every once in a while. Then find someone you love to slow down with and enjoy the flowers.
