First Day of Spring - Cunningham Falls

It was the first day of Spring so Peg and I decided to take a cruise up to Cunningham Falls State Park in Maryland. The park has a nice 78 foot waterfall that is an easy hike from the parking area. As a bonus, it was the last week of the Maple Syrup Festival and they were tapping trees and making syrup.

Many of the trees had several buckets collecting the syrup

The air was filled with the scent of maple syrup

Springtime had all the streams running

My little wood nymph playing in the forest

Many beautiful moss covered rocks

A little HDR action on the rocks

The falls

All the recent rains made for plenty of cascading waters

Just up the road a bit is the Roddy Road Covered Bridge
